MIMAS This free service funded by JISC, ESRC and the University of Manchester, based at Manchester Computing, specialises in providing strategic research and teaching datasets, software packages, training and large-scale computing resources for the UK academic community. The Socio-economic Data Service provides data from the 1981 and 1991 Census, Government surveys, and macroeconomic time series data from the Office for National Statistics and the ESRC Data Archive, the IMF, OECD and UNIDO. Access is password controlled but free to UK academics.
National Statistics Online The Office for National Statistics is the Government agency responsible for compiling, analysing and disseminating many of the UK's economic and social statistics. The site provides statistical information for the UK.
