Art Full Text (on-campus) ; Art Full Text (off-campus)   offers full-text articles from 1997 as well as indexing and abstracts. Advertising World (US) : The "ultimate marketing communications directory" for advertising and marketing professionals, students and teachers.

AHDS Visual Arts  (Formerly VADS)  Part of the JISC-funded Arts & Humanities Data Service providing, preserving and promoting quality digital resources for the visual arts. Includes a searchable on-line archive of digital resources.

ARLIS.net  is the union catalogue of a wide number of UK based art and design libraries, and aims to help users locate art, architecture and design publications, plus related materials.  It includes approximately 18,000 magazines and journals from over 90 libraries.  This site also includes a directory of art and design libraries, contact information, and any special collections they might hold.

ArtSource  Huge collection of art-related sites.

Artcyclopedia  An excellent first-stop site for searching artists, art movements, subjects, etc. with links to sites where the artists work can be seen.

Artifact  Guide to information in the arts and creative industries. Incorporates data and information once provided by ADAM. Artifact forms parts of the Resource Discovery Network.

BIAD main website 

BIAD Archives  contains the art and archival collections of Birmingham Institute of Art & Design. This website gives brief collection level descriptions of some of their collections. It also explains how to contact them and make an appointment to visit the collections.

MACE - Media Archive for Central England  A public sector moving image archive for the Midlands. Includes a searchable database and updates are available via a newsletter.

MAD.co.uk is an invaluable resource for marketing, media, new media, advertising and design professionals. It brings together content from 8 leading publications including Marketing Week, Precision Marketing, Design Week and New Media Age as well as providing breaking news throughout the day. Other services include an online directory, the events diary and jobs database.

MoCo Loco (Modern contemporary design & architecture) : MoCo Loco is a web magazine featuring modern contemporary design news and views.

National Fine Art Education Digital Collection 
An online resource of art works  offering clear and simple ways of searching - includes collections from the Royal Academy and leading British Art Schools.  Birmingham Institute of Art and Design - (BIAD) - have contributed a number of works from the School Archive showing the influence of Pre-Raphaelitism and the Arts and Crafts movement on the teaching in Birmingham at the end of the Nineteenth century.  A high proportion of Birmingham's prize winners in the national competitions were female - works by Florence Camm are included in this online collection. Work on this project has been carried out by VADS.
